Giving

Proud Axolotl exists to make it easier to show pride in who you are. I strive for this to be true in two ways- directly (through fun products) and indirectly by supporting queer organizations.

As Proud Axolotl has just relaunched, I don't have any donations to share yet. I aim to provide in depth transparency with all donations. Expect regular updates to this page by the end of March.

Organizations We're Supporting

The Queer Trans Project

Started in 2021, The Queer Trans Project, often shortened to The QT Project, is a Black-led and Trans-led organization in Jacksonville, Florida. Their mission is "dedicated to providing gender-affirming resources to empower queer and trans individuals nationwide, equipping them with the confidence and power to drive social change in their communities."

I've worked with The Queer Trans Project in the past with some small, in-kind donations. As queer people and gender affirming care are increasingly attacked, so to will our support.

$1 from every Progress Pride Flag Pinback Button will be donated directly to the Queer Trans Project, as well as any pins with small blemishes that don't quite meet my standards.

Trans Lifeline

"Trans Lifeline provides trans peer support for our community that’s been divested from police since day one. We’re run by and for trans people."

I sincerely believe that I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the support of Trans Lifeline. They bring community and mutual aid to the forefront, and as opposed to many lifelines/hotlines, including the Trevor Project, they will never nonconsentually intervene.

$1 from every Transgender Pride Pinback Button and Trans Pride/Trans Power Vintage Pinback Button  will be donated to Trans Lifeline.

Nicolas Gogan Foundation

"Nicolas Gogan - or, as his loved ones called him, Nico - was an artist, activist, and self proclaimed “fairy trans-father” to all that knew him."

The Nico Gogan Foundation provides direct financial support to trans+ people who need assistance. This provides an easy way for us to directly support a wide array of mutual aid requests without having to vet them individually.
